Newborn Maddison
- seventeen years ago now.
Pure perfection.

Maddi, seeing you born was the most profound moment I've known ...even more so than having my own babies. The doctor held you up and ...wow ...for the first time I saw "perfection".  Living,  breathing, coneheaded perfection. And your mum was awesome! Such a powerful moment that still, seventeen years later, brings streams and streams of awestruck tears. Happy birthday [for yesterday, but today was our cake day] xxx
